Fall – Cross Country
- Fall season runs from the Wednesday after Labor Day in September through the first week of December.
- On average there are 3 practices and 1 meet each week. Attendance is optional but highly encouraged to maximize athletes to their potential
- Some meets are free. Others have an entry fee (Ranging from $5-$20) which is not covered by the registration fee
- Practices are 1 hour for all athletes and held at Tarrywile Park in Danbury
- Races are of varying distances and terrains which can be trails, grassy areas, or other non-road surfaces.
- Races for our athletes can typically be 1000m for our youngest athletes all the way up to 5000m for our oldest athletes
- The season culminates in November/December with Conference, State, Regional, and National Championship meets as well as a trail race for our adults (parents and volunteers are highly encouraged!)
- Athletes from Danbury High School typically join us for some of these meets once their High School season ends
Winter – Indoor Track and Field
- Winter season runs from the 2nd week of December through the 2nd week of March
- On average there are 3 practices and 1 meet each week. Attendance is optional but highly encouraged to maximize athletes to their potential
- All meets after the first meet have an entry fee ranging from $8 to $25. Entry fees are not covered by the registration fee
- Practices are 90-120 minutes for our athletes. Our practice location is new for 2021-22 and will be at the Bethel Indoor Track and field Center @ Bethel High School
- Athletes compete in running, throwing, jumping, and even walking events. Distances in the running events range from 55m up to 3000m
- The season culminates in March with the Northeast Youth Indoor Classic in Boston and the USATF Hershey Indoor National Championship in Staten Island, NY.
- Athletes from Danbury High School typically join us for the USATF meet once their season is over.
Spring – Outdoor Track and Field
- Spring season runs from the 2nd week of March through the 1st week of June
- On average there are 3 practices and 1 meet each week. Attendance is optional but highly encouraged to maximize athletes to their potential
- Some meets are free. Others have an entry fee (Ranging from $5-$20) which is not covered by the registration fee .
- Practices are 60 minutes for our Junior Hatters ages 5-8 and 90-120 minutes for our athletes ages 9 up. Our practice location is to be finalized but will be the Danbury High School Track (assuming construction of the track is completed on time)
- Athletes compete in running, throwing, jumping, and even walking events. Distances in the running events range from 100m up to 3000m
- The season culminates in May/June with the Conference and State Middle School Championships
Summer – Outdoor Track and Field
- Summer season runs from the 2nd week of June through the end of July
- On average there are 3 practices and 1 meet each week. Attendance is optional but highly encouraged to maximize athletes to their potential
- All meets have an entry fee (Ranging from $5-$50) which is not covered by the registration fee .
- Practices are 60 minutes for our Junior Hatters ages 5-8 and 90-120 minutes for our athletes ages 9 up. Our practice location is to be finalized but will be the Danbury High School Track (assuming construction of the track is completed on time)
- Athletes compete in running, throwing, jumping, and even walking events. Distances in the running events range from 100m up to 3000m
- The season culminates at the end of July with the AAU and USATF Regional and National Championships.
